The best performers of the session on the DAX were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:HEIG), which rose 0.45% or 0.300 points to trade at 67.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) added 0.43% or 1.10 points to end at 257.80 and Siemens AG Class N (DE:SIEGn) was up 0.33% or 0.38 points to 114.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG), which fell 3.30% or 4.000 points to trade at 117.250 at the close. Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) declined 2.54% or 0.450 points to end at 17.260 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) was down 1.51% or 1.86 points to 121.54.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) which rose 1.81% to 44.97, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:AFXG) which was up 1.44% to settle at 106.000 and GEA Group AG (DE:G1AG) which gained 1.32% to close at 29.230.
The worst performers were Rheinmetall AG (DE:RHMG) which was down 7.05% to 96.020 in late trade, Leoni AG (DE:LEOGn) which lost 3.08% to settle at 12.280 and Siltronic AG (DE:WAFGn) which was down 2.99% to 74.740 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:DRWG_p) which rose 2.92% to 56.350, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:AFXG) which was up 1.44% to settle at 106.000 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which gained 1.37% to close at 51.750.
The worst performers were Medigene NA O.N. (DE:MDG1k) which was down 4.40% to 5.430 in late trade, SLM Solutions Group AG (DE:AM3D) which lost 4.14% to settle at 13.90 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was down 3.43% to 12.400 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 435 to 235 and 90 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.40% to 14.47.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.35 to $1474.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.69% or 1.49 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.12% or 1.29 to trade at $62.20 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1070, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8566.
