Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.05%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.05%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN), which rose 1.47% or 3.5 points to trade at 241.2 at the close. Meanwhile, ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) added 1.00% or 1.50 points to end at 151.50 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 0.93% or 7.4 points to 806.6 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 2.96% or 6.0 points to trade at 198.2 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 1.99% or 6.2 points to end at 305.8 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 1.41% or 21.5 points to 1508.5.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 65 to 61 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.35% or 1.34 to $55.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.83% or 1.14 to hit $61.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.55 to trade at $1474.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.08% to 6.7435, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4727.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 97.670.
